Hun.ter Design Studio worked very closely with the client on their northern coastal residence to rejuvenate and enliven the newly purchased home. The project involved a bathroom, laundry and styling renovation that was inspired by a Hampton’s theme incorporating a modern Australian touch.
The bathrooms and laundry within the home were designed with a fresh white palette, in order to brighten and open up the spaces. The soft grey floor tiling grounds the white profiled cabinetry doors, which sit beautifully within the marble wall tiles. The Hamptons theme is further ingrained within each of the spaces through country-style tap and shower fixtures. Each element within the renovated rooms forms a well-balanced and modern bathroom aesthetic when combined together.
As we step into the bedroom, there is an immediate feeling of warmth and homeliness, as requested by the clients. The dark hues styled around the heart of the bedroom, being the sumptuous king bed, are livened through golden hues produced by the bedside lamps. Complementing this cosy aesthetic is the white profiled cabinetry and addition of the client’s precious art pieces and floral blooms, bringing life to the space.
More styling within our client’s new home involved the entry hall console. By piecing together their existing items with newly purchased ones, the circulation space was given life and purpose and an overall sense of balance, something the clients were particularly delighted about.
“We have known Kathleen Hunter for about 18 months and during this time she has assisted us in styling and staging our family home for sale and then when we decided to downsize, we turned to Kathleen again using her expertise to help us renovate and decorate our new home. Getting our last home ready for sale, Kathleen worked with our existing furniture and even fully furnished and decorated a large lounge area upstairs that we had never used. After she had finished, we couldn’t believe the difference to the room and thought “why are we moving”? Using accessories chosen by herself, Kathleen managed to give all of our rooms a real “WOW” factor.
After buying our new home, Kathleen helped us from the planning stage, choosing bench colours, paint colours, lighting, tiles and then after renovations were complete, she was there with us to choose new furniture. The final touch was perhaps Kathleen’s Piece de resistance, the styling of our home. Our home has a Hampton’s theme and we are extremely happy with the finished look. She worked with our existing accessories and added her own individual choices to achieve a truly magnificent look.
We thoroughly recommend Kathleen, her styling is amazing, she is very easy to work with, offering advice where needed, listening to our ideas and guiding us through to the finished look. Overall she made the whole experience a truly memorable one.”
